A revisit to Din Tai Fung that I’ve been lusting for quite a while!

垂涎已久之重返鼎泰豐！

I’ve been looking forward to eating Din Tai Fung so much, to compensate the fact that 2/5 big meal cancelled due to my serious flu and and excuse to celebrate boyf’s B-DAY as well as V-DAY<3

I’ve never eaten DTF only with two people so the ordering might be a little trickier, but I decided to order like a king! ( does that even make sense?)

Watch out for the following FOOD PORN though!

超期待去吃鼎泰豐的，為了補償2/5因為生病沒有吃到大餐＆幫男友補慶生＆藉口情人節。我從沒有兩個人一起吃鼎泰豐所以我想點餐會比較困難一點但我決定盡情的點就是了！留意以下食物情色照（這到底要怎麼翻成中文？）男友說這是 食慾照

Hot Oolong Tea that totally warmed our hearts and later served as a fresh sipping between the glorious dishes.

熱騰騰的烏龍茶除了溫暖身心還為每道菜之間提供爽口的休憩。

The most famous pork XiaLongBao, the yummiest creation of all, I was wowed by the lovely shape of it before every bite.

最負盛名的小籠包，超 級 好 吃 ！每夾起一顆去沾醬我就忍不住欣賞小籠包可愛的身形。

Next up Shredded Pork Fried Rice with Egg (white rice) I knew I woudn’t stop gulping these heavenly good smelling rice so I shared half the plate to my boyf first before there was nothing left……

緊接著也是超有名的肉絲蛋炒飯，補充：為什麼簡單的炒飯可以做得這麼色俱全（流口水）我知道如果我不先分一半給男友整盤一定會被我掃光……

We ordered a bowl of Sauced Noodles with Chinese Mustard Greens and Shredded Pork because I craved for these veggies but honestly it was too much to eat after a plate of rice. This dish was rather fresh and I felt so healthy eating these mustard greens.

我們還點了雪菜肉絲乾拌麵，純粹是因為我好想吃雪菜（平常比較少吃到），但說實話在吃完一碗飯後再來碗麵實在有點過飽了，當然雪菜還是很好吃 很健康的感覺。

These Shrimp and Pork Wontons with House Soy Sauce may not look so delicious from the crappy photo I took but they did taste nice, if it wasn’t for both of us still being sick we’d ordered the Special Spicy Sauce ver. which is even more delicious.

這道蝦肉餛飩乾拌看起來比照片好吃我保證！要不是因為我們兩個都還未完全脫離感冒肯定會點紅油炒手，更好吃。

There came the Hot and Sour Soup (original), it was one of my fav kind of soup, it got many stuff inside as you can obviously tell from the photo and look/smell of it was just “stomach opening”, I was pretty full by the time soup came but I managed to finish this gourmet anyway.

最後是湯品-酸辣湯 是我最喜歡的湯類之一。呃從照片顯而易見的可以看到用料豐富實在並且十分開胃，這個時候我已經很飽很飽了，但我還是努力把它喝完，這是對美食的敬意。

Last but not least, House Steamed Chicken Soup. This was totally for bae’s, I thought he’d need some good nutritious chicken soup to restore his energy, after all I was the reason he got sick, probably. Although I couldn’t help but had a sip or two of this amazing energy soup.

元盅雞湯來也。這完全是點給男友喝的，我想他需要一些精力湯來補充能量，畢竟也是因為我才感冒的。不過我忍不住偷喝兩口，太美味了。

 

Din Tai Fung they always have a working area that’s transparent for customers to check out, look at these guys, working very hard on all these XiaoLongBao we’re eating. I really appreciate their dedication to customer service and food quality, there’s absolutely no doubt why they’re Michelin-starred resto.

We spent NTD$1056 (service fee included) and were satisfied being too full, but seriously we might cut about $300 next time so we don’t stuff ourselves too hard. The only thing I wish differently was the dishes would be even nice came in more hot rather than warm, that’s just my personal preference.

鼎泰豐總是有一部分透明工作空間可供顧客欣賞，看這些師傅賣力地做我們讚不絕口的小籠包們，我真的很欣賞這間餐廳對於顧客服務體驗＆料理品質的執著，所以可以獲得米其林一星也是名副其實。這天我們總共花了新台幣 1056（包含服務費）並且非常的飽足滿意，不是開玩笑的下次我們應該會少點三百塊左右只為了不要讓自己這麼撐。唯一我覺得可以改善的部分是餐點的溫度，如果上菜的溫度是燙一點而非溫熱的話我會更喜歡。

 

P.S. I think this is my first time ever trying to write about food properly in English and  whoa it’s pretty challenging, I mean writing it in Chinese is difficult enough for me let along…… I hope this post somehow makes you drool or at least hungry right now, that’d be wonderful:D
